Who Is Justin Cash?

This little bio of myself exists because people often wonder who the face is behind this site?
I'm a high school Drama teacher who lives in Melbourne, Australia. I am currently Head of Drama at Avila College, a wonderful Catholic girls' school with a student population of about 1,200. It is here that I am kept on my toes on a daily basis by some of the most enthusiastic Drama students I have ever encountered!
I also work in a voluntary capacity for Drama Victoria, the largest Drama teachers' association in Australia. I am currently Vice President of the organisation and work on the Committee of Management co-editing their educational journal and assisting with other resources.
My academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Education, a Graduate Diploma in Arts and Entertainment Management and I am currently undertaking a Master of Education. My area of interest in my Masters is the impact of new and emerging technologies on the teaching and learning of drama/theatre.
Occasionally I speak at Drama conferences and without doubt my most exciting conference experiences were presenting workshops at the International Drama/Theatre and Education Association (IDEA) World Congresses in Bergen, Norway (2001) and Ottawa, Canada (2004).
Justin's Drama and Theatre Links began as a hobby in my spare time in mid-2000 and today has grown completely out of control! On average, the site now receives about half a million visitors a month from more than 160 countries. People visit the site everywhere from Tasmania to Scandinavia. I try to keep the site regularly updated. The ever-changing nature of the web means that each day brings new resources to link to this site. But unfortunately existing links change or drop off the face of the web every day, also. I do my best to maintain the site for everyone who uses it.
Over recent months and years, many people have politely enquired whether I actually have a life or not, as maintaining websites around busy days teaching Drama and other activities is always a challenge. I am happy to report that yes I do have a life......it's just that I choose to spend a lot of it in front of the computer on the Internet!
Cheers,
Justin Cash
